Getting Ready

We planned from the beginning to get a late start on things, so that we could sleep in.  Then we ended up waking up at 7am or so anyway, because old habits are hard to break.  But we found ways to fill the time until we were scheduled to head over to New York, New York, to meet up with most of our WP and their spouses to ride the imaginatively-named Roller Coaster.

Except for the dudes in the back, that's all our party.  It was a great way to start the day, and we got some great video, too.

That accomplished, we went back to the suite for lunch.  We had a quick rehearsal, which mainly consisted of figuring out where we were all going to stand.  Probably my biggest regret is not doing a fuller rehearsal, or at least making sure the people leading the processional knew what music cue to listen for (we walked out to the wrong song) and walking through once with DH's uncle, who was ordained just to perform the wedding and got a little muddled on the script.  Ah well.

Lunch was served, gifts were given, and cake!  We had three family birthdays (plus MOH) the week of the wedding, so we got special ice cream cakes for the rehearsal.  (Worth noting is that since we cut the wedding down to WP and immediate family only, pretty much our entire guest list was at the lunch.  Some brides have a problem with that for some reason, but we just saw it as more time to spend with everyone.)

This was the point where we split along gender lines to get prettified.  The girls stayed in the Vista Suite...

Finally, we're ready to get going!
